It would be an understatement to declare 2009 as one tough year on the economy, on budgets, on training, on everything. I saw it first hand at the courses I taught around the country. Attendance was low, and those who attended had to justify every nickel spent. And because of that, I made it my mission to thank everyone individually for attending Institute courses. If I missed anyone, let me give a heartfelt thanks to those who attended in 2009.

While a lot of gloom and doom can be expressed for 2009, I like to look at the positive outcome we accomplished. We have a very successful roll-out of our Advanced RCRA, which earned rave reviews from attendees. We opened our very own training center in Annapolis with very positive feedback from all of those who attended the courses there. With the training center, we are now able to offer a large complement of courses that were not feasible in a hotel/conference room setting. And with those courses, old friends like Bob Pojasek, June Bolstridge, and Mike Bowen have returned to the instructor rolls. I have known them for many years and it as great to see them again, teaching Aarcher Institute courses.

I have made a commitment not to cancel courses unless the instructor(s) become unavailable or due to weather or other circumstance out of our control. So rest assured, if you sign up for one of our courses this year, even though you may be the only one in the course, it will be conducted.

I know that we will continue to solve your tough problems with our training courses in 2010 and beyond. I look forward to meeting you as a first time Institute course attendee or catching up with your career as an alumnus of our courses.
